3D Gens Sarawak has successfully conducted another series of Digital Manufacturing training sessions, this time held across two locations: Bintawa and CENTEX. The programme accommodated 40 new participants, including lecturers and researchers — a cohort that will not only apply their new skills personally but also pass them on through their own teaching and research work.

Strong Response, Growing Momentum

The response to these training sessions continues to exceed expectations. Interest in 3D printing and digital manufacturing in Sarawak is growing steadily, driven by both individual curiosity and institutional recognition that these skills are becoming essential for the modern workforce.

Having lecturers and researchers among the participants is particularly significant. When educators become practitioners, the knowledge multiplies — skills learned in a 3D Gens training session find their way into classrooms, labs, and eventually into the work of students who may not have had direct access to additive manufacturing otherwise.

A Vision Taking Shape

3D Gens' long-held vision of "Every home with a 3D printer" may sound ambitious, but each training batch brings it measurably closer to reality. As more people across Sarawak gain hands-on competency in digital manufacturing, the technology stops being something that only large institutions can access and becomes a tool available to communities, schools, and households.

The Bintawa and CENTEX sessions represent continued progress toward that vision — and toward a Sarawak where digital fabrication literacy is as common as computer literacy.
