Introducing the LOGIC Maxfac TMJ Prosthesis System

1 July 20213D Gens

3D Gens introduces the LOGIC Maxfac Patient-Specific-Implant Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Prosthesis System — a specialised solution for reconstructing the temporomandibular joint using fully customised, patient-matched implants.

About the TMJ Prosthesis System

The TMJ is the joint connecting the jawbone to the skull. TMJ reconstruction is required when disease, trauma, or developmental conditions compromise joint function. Standard off-the-shelf prostheses cannot match the unique geometry of each patient — which is where patient-specific implants change the outcome.

The LOGIC Maxfac TMJ Prosthesis System combines:

  • Virtual Surgical Planning (VSP) — digital simulation of the reconstruction before entering the operating theatre
  • Patient-specific implant design — TMJ prostheses designed directly from the patient's CT data
  • Additive manufacturing — production of implants in biocompatible materials via metal 3D printing

Part of the LOGIC Maxfac Family

The TMJ Prosthesis System sits alongside the BIMAX System and other LOGIC Maxfac products as part of 3D Gens' commitment to building a complete craniomaxillofacial surgical solutions portfolio — designed and manufactured in Malaysia.
